Frazer Coogans Commercial – a specialised department assisting clients across Scotland in the purchase and sale of commercial, investment, agricultural and licensed property. Assisting with sourcing properties for investment or retail purposes, acquisition of land for residential or commercial development, plot sales for developers, purchase and sale of licensed premises, hotels and agricultural properties, leasing of retail and office premises. This experienced team of three solicitors from specialist backgrounds assist clients in a wide range of varied transactions, including the expansion of property portfolios throughout Scotland.

Our Director, Anoop Christi, heads up the team and provides clients with a great deal of professional expertise and practical input. With his assistance, clients have been able to make their portfolios grow and expand. From the client making their first venture into the commercial property market to the experienced investor with a varied property holding, Frazer Coogans Commercial is able to assist in the expansion and development of their property in all manner of areas.

The firm is very active in commercial property, particularly the fields of purchase, leasing and sale of investment property, purchase and sale of pubs, hotels, caravan and leisure parks, pharmacies, medical practices, dental practices and other commercial premises and commercial security work.

In addition, the team are experienced in acting on behalf of both Landlord and Tenant for negotiating, drafting and completing commercial leases for a variety of uses such as retail and office use. With this specially formed department focusing on commercial transactions, the firm has the ability and capacity to deal with a wide range of commercial matters efficiently and cost-effectively. Meet the Commercial Team.

Anoop Christi

Anoop began his career with Frazer Coogans in 2013, joining the firm as a Legal Assistant while completing his LLB and Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Strathclyde Law School. Since then, he has progressed through the roles of Trainee Solicitor, Solicitor, and Senior Solicitor, before being appointed Director and Head of Commercial and Rural Property, as well as Notary Public. 

In this role, Anoop oversees a specialist team providing clients across Scotland with advice on a broad range of commercial, investment, agricultural, and licensed property matters. He is known for his practical approach and for supporting clients at every stage of their property ventures, from first-time investors to established portfolio holders. 

During his studies at Strathclyde, Anoop excelled academically, achieving 3rd place in the Allen & Overy Prize for Best Commercial Law Essay – a notable achievement which helped shape the early direction of his career. Balancing his academic commitments with his role at Frazer Coogans provided him with a strong and early foundation in legal practice. 

Outside the office, Anoop enjoys keeping active, regularly training and taking part in fitness events. He has completed various charity runs over the years and most recently took on HYROX Glasgow. 

Emmanuel de Abreu

Emmanuel started his career with Frazer Coogans in 2021 as a Trainee Commercial Solicitor and has since then became a key member of the Commercial Department once he qualified as a Commercial Solicitor in 2023 resulting in his promotion to Senior Solicitor in 2025.

Emmanuel’s experience covers a broad range of commercial matters. This includes   the conveyancing of commercial and agricultural property, commercial leases and finance and security work.  Emmanuel is known for his down to Earth and practical approach to tackling complex tasks.

Prior to joining Frazer Coogans, Emmanuel completed his legal studies at the University of West of Scotland and the University of Glasgow. During his studies he spent a considerable amount of his time taking part in initiatives by the Law Society of Scotland to promote legal education and to empower students to pursue a career in law. This includes delivering classes in high schools across Glasgow and appearing on BBC Radio Scotland to raise awareness.

During his free time, Emmanuel enjoys training at his local gym, following his favourite football team and taking part in adrenaline fuelled activities.

Kirsty Holland

Kirsty began her journey at Frazer Coogans in November 2022 as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal and subsequently started her legal traineeship in July 2023, after undertaking the alternative route of qualifying via The Law Society of Scotland professional exams while working full time and caring for her family.

During her traineeship, Kirsty became a key member of the Residential Department because of her in-depth experience as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal. Kirsty finished her traineeship in the Rural & Commercial Department as she sought to expand her expertise in the commercial and rural landscape.

Since qualifying as a solicitor, Kirsty has proven to be a fundamental member of the Rural & Commercial Department as she has undertaken complex and challenging assignments with enthusiasm and a diligent attitude. Kirsty’s expertise ranges from residential conveyancing to all aspects of rural and commercial transactions. This includes sales, leasing, licensing and re-finance work.

During her free time, Kirsty enjoys going for walks with the family dog, reading, spending time with her three daughters and learning how to sew her own clothes.
